The School-Side Trust Node
EduLock™ integrates with a school's Student Information System to confirm enrollment status — without transmitting a single piece of personally identifiable information. The school becomes a trusted institutional node in the AuthentiKid verification chain.
EduLock™ is the school-side component of the AuthentiKid trust chain. It connects to a district's existing Student Information System (SIS) — Infinite Campus, PowerSchool, Skyward, and others — and performs a single, privacy-safe query: is this student currently enrolled?
The answer — a boolean enrollment confirmation — is used to generate a cryptographic token. No name, no student ID, no grade level, no address, no date of birth leaves the school's system. The school acts as a trusted institutional node, and EduLock™ ensures that trust is never violated.
The Architecture
EduLock™ connects to the district's Student Information System via a read-only, scoped API integration. No write access. No bulk export. A single enrollment-status query per verification event.
The query returns only a boolean: enrolled or not enrolled. No student record is transmitted. No PII crosses the boundary. FERPA compliance is maintained at every layer.
The enrollment confirmation triggers AuthentiKey™ token generation. The token is cryptographically derived from the signal — not from the student's identity. The school's role ends here.
