What Is KYM?
Know Your Minor™ is AuthentiKid's compliance intelligence layer — the child-safety equivalent of KYC (Know Your Customer). It gives platforms a verified, privacy-safe signal that a user is a minor, enabling automatic enforcement of COPPA, KOSA, and DSA age-appropriate design requirements.
Unlike traditional age verification — which forces a choice between collecting biometrics or collecting nothing — KYM uses school-verified institutional nodes and behavioral AI pattern recognition to establish audience age-group confidence without a single facial scan, government ID upload, or persistent data record.

School Verifies Enrollment
EduLock™ integrates with school SIS systems to confirm a student's enrollment status — without transmitting any personal data. The school acts as a trusted institutional node.
Token Is Issued
AuthentiKey™ generates a one-time, non-reversible cryptographic token derived from the verified enrollment signal. No name, no face, no ID — just a mathematically provable age-group assertion.
Platform Receives Signal
When the user attempts to access a platform, the KYM layer returns a verified minor or adult signal. The platform enforces its age-appropriate design rules automatically. The token is discarded. No record remains.
